Technology Research

Technology has had a massive impact on society. It has an effective every single sector of modern life. There have been massive positive and negatives. A few things technology has caused is that it now can auto mative processes, make communications instant, take photos and share them instantly, have smart algorithms that look at big data, makes things accurate, make a lot of processes faster. There are many different ways there is positive. However the negative is how technology has changed how people interact, how it is isolating people, how children are not learning to connect to the natural world, how people have short attention spans, The waste used to produce the hardware, the human abuse that goes into making the hardware, the loss of jobs, the switch on power between countries and this social currency are just a few to name.

In this section, I will be looking into the future of technology, look into some of the histories of the process such a printing and seeing how it can be pushed further into the future. The purpose of this section is how can technology be used in a sensible and practical way in my design work, to improve human life and way of living.

This blog post is a continuous one and will be added to, it is an area of me to collect my research and  reflect on it.

3D Printing:

Definition from Wikipedia:
3D printing is any of various processes in which material is joined or solidified under computer control to create a three-dimensional object, with the material being added together (such as liquid molecules or powder grains being fused together). 3D printing is used in both rapid prototyping and additive manufacturing. Objects can be of almost any shape or geometry and typically are produced using digital model data from a 3D model or another electronic data source such as an Additive Manufacturing File (AMF) file (usually in sequential layers). There are many different technologies, like stereolithography(SLA) or fused deposit modeling (FDM). Thus, unlike material removed from a stock in the conventional machining process, 3D printing or Additive Manufacturing builds a three-dimensional object from a computer-aided design (CAD) model or AMF file, usually by successively adding material layer by layer.
